Design Your Own Digital Art Project
|
This project was complete free option of a creative design that I could create, I chose to create an animation. I went into Adobe Flash for the first time and immediately had an idea. Minecraft is my passion and my book I intend to animate in the future is all about it too. I wanted to test the action of objects in flash to know some basics, and I used "The Minecraft Dream", of diamond rain as a short animation. I had always though animation was the most difficult thing in technological existence, but it was really easy to learn and know some of the important basics. I'm sure this would save me at least a month in the future if was not to do this. It seemed like everything just made sense at the speed of light, I feel like I envisioned animating 5 hours or so worth of a movie in only a year. So I am happy to have these skillz to be able to complete my greatest intended achievement. It's not natural math, but 3 hours saved 3 weeks.

Understanding Scale and Proportion- Landscapes
Scale- Scale is the size relationship between certain objects, or a changed size of one object with a larger or smaller version.
Proportion- Specifically the various sizes of an object.
Foreground- The close picture
Mid ground- The second frame
Background- The Far Lands
Very helpful tools I found in Photoshop are the magic wand, pen, and the Ctrl+? are helpful as well.
Also, finding the zipped files and extracted files-
A zipped file is a computer file which holds contents of one or more files and are compressed for storage or transmission, and is labeled carrying with ".ZIP" at the end.
An extraction file is an "unzipped" file, when files are taken out and uncompressed.

Photoshop Tutorials
The Devel Sixteen, one of the new greatest super cars, could use some smoothing and slight color change.
So I selected the entire car with the pen, and changed the color imprint slightly, now it looks smoother.
Next I centered the car, and put the logo straight.

Art History: Art as Communication
Written Reflection
1. Do you feel you met or approached the project rationale?
I do believe so, I have made a creative attempt in every action of this unit, and that leaves its mark of art.
2. What is considered art?
Art is a way of arranging objects and building or drawing with creativity and interest. All inventions are a work of art... cars, houses, technology, and all naturally made existences are too. People makes art, animals makes art, plants make art, and all nature IS art.
3. How does context affect works of art?
Context connects the art abilities with the creativity of itself. The context of art is the topic, the material, the dimension, and the usage. All context of art is made within the 6 elements of art, and the possibilities and combinations with the 6 elements just approach infinity.
4. Why would context matter when interpreting art?
Because everyone and everything has an intention, and the context of an object should be identified first. Some choose to go with the flow, but even if it wasn't done right, that finished art still has context, because what would art be if had nothing? It wouldn’t even exist.
